Deployment and operation
Training and the trial run
Arrangements
Given on site by our delivery team, in theory and practice, normally over 1 to 2 days. It is split into sessions in the order operation, maintenance, then minor faults; after each part your staff try it themselves, and time is left for questions at the end.
Content
Operation, daily checks and maintenance (charging, cleaning the sensors, checking the tyres), handling exceptions, safety procedures (emergency stops, prohibited acts) and aisle management.
Who attends
1 or 2 nominated maintenance staff, which can be a part-time role, handling routine maintenance and common faults and contacting our technical support for anything complex. Operators working near the robots attend the training on safety rules and daily checks.
Trial run
After system commissioning, the trial run continues through to acceptance. Run at the real cycle time and record each day the number of tasks, completion rate, exceptions by type and manual interventions; classify each issue as equipment, configuration, site or management, with who deals with it and by when, and accept once they are resolved.
The people trained should be the ones who will do the work; they sign the training confirmation afterwards, and only trained people operate the robots. If the people trained are not the ones who later operate the robots, the training is wasted.
